Old and tired dragon

Hi all. It is a netsuke carved in a tooth of a "phacochere. Inlays are ebony.

You make me smile Raoux with each of your creations. This dragon is one I would hold for hours before the cabinet or would be in my pocket for days. Is a talisman to me, you say is old and tired but he looks to be born, like you take it from the egg shell. Congratulations

phacochere is 'warthog', so that must be a warthog tusk! Amazing work.

Roaux, I also really like your tired old dragon. I know how he feels, and what Carlomango said seems very true to me. The body wears out, but the fire in this dragons eyes and soul strengthen and grow bright and wiser. This is a wise old happy dragon who smiles a Knowing smile at life! Congrats on a lively reflective carving!
