I ordered mine when it was first mentioned (about 9 or 10 days ago). I did a follow up and received a VERY nice apology note for the delay. Now have a ups tracking # and expect it tomorrow.

Good article from NPR on Wash D.C. "Meet Netsuke" Exhibition, discussed in several threads here:

Received my catalog for this Exhibition yesterday, and it is just terrific! Printed on durable paper, virtually all extremely well photographed, and in color, the pages are thick and glossy.
The netsuke and Sagemonoya are mostly in that elusive category of 'netsuke I'll never be able to afford to own' - many are loaned by Dr. Jay and Beverly Hopkins from one of the truly finest collections in the hands of a living, single owner. But, as you will see, some will surprise and even delight you.
You will really enjoy adding this catalog to your library, but don't dawdle - get your order out asap. You will be pleasantly surprised!
A big CONGRATULATIONS to the Japan-America Society of Washington!!! This Exhibition is a very special treat. It runs in Wash D.C. from 3/15/17 - 5/15/17; if you can get there to see it live, you must go!

Some photos of this show are posted in a thread in "Coffee Lounge." I'll add a few more when I get a chance, for those who can't make it.

Here, belatedly, are the promised additional photos of the exhibition. Others are back in a thread in "Coffee Lounge." There may be some duplication but hopefully no harm in that. As a reminder, the show is up through May 15.

Only one downside - unlike regular museums, it is closed on weekends.

Right; it's unfortunate that the exhibition is only open on weekdays. Even a few open hours on Saturdays would make it available to a wider audience, and would win more friends for netsuke. Maybe the enthusiasm for this show will help make that possible for future exhibitions there.
