My first Inro

Postby angel » Sun Jul 17, 2016 6:52 pm

I would like to share some pictures of my first inro.
I was looking for a inro that suited one of my netsuke and could ojime but patience with me, and acquired this inrro with golden tones. Never before have I had a inro in my hands, and I love it, it's something amazing, it is very light and delicate. It is in very good condition. At the bottom and top has a series of numbers.
The inro comes with a beautiful golden ojime that is doing very well.
The himo seems orijinal, because this is very discolored in places.
It gives the impression that the himo cut at the height of netsuke, possibly to sell it separately, it is a pity, I would not have the courage to separate such a nice set. :(

Congratulations on your first inro Angel. As you handle more of them you will get to understand condition issues and how rare (and expensive) the fine ones are. Is the ojime gilt on silver or can you tell?

I am not well versed on Inro--need to learn more - but it is a lovely thing. I like the changes in tones of gold.

Congratulations on your first inro angel!

Very nice. I like the lacquer work on it and it seems to be in good condition.
