I felt the first of the two Kanji I shared was the most likely 赱. Do you concur or was I totally off track?
On the reading underneath - any ideas? I like the challenges around reading Kanji - but I'm embarrassed to say I'm totally stumped by what follows!
I wondered if one needs to make a Kun reading - might the further markings be hiragana? Based on the age bracket I'd place the piece, that would make this type of reading feasible.
