I am interested in any information on Netsukes being made of natural carved Emerald. There appears to be the two holes and has the characteristics of a netsuke. Any information on a carved emerald netsuke would be appreciated.

I will try to get one. Have you seen a carved emerald Netsuke before?

The photo doesn't really show the rabbit, fish etc but gives an idea.

Your photo is too small to be of any use.

I have not seen a real emerald netsuke. In order to give an opinion, we need to see a big sized photo from each side and of the himotoshi.

I never saw in my life any emerald netsuke, no antique nor modern one...
no reference in any book or catalog...the photo is too small, but I assume
some hypothesis:
is not netsuke but a small okimono and the stone colour is or turquoise (probably) or green jadeite (very precious)...if turquoise probably (because of the colour homogeneity) is not the original stone which is mixed with black
inclussions...
so if you take a macro photo many of us will be in condition to give you
an concrete opinion but since now, believe me, 1 against 10 this is not at all
an emerald netsuke...

Excellence in netsuke art don't need signature or pedigree, or age, only quality, aesthetics, beauty.

Agreed with Lub, that looks like Jade/Jadeite. Probably Chinese, and almost certainly not a Netsuke in the traditional sense. If this is true, then its value if any would lie in the Chinese antiques/jade objects market.

Size is something.
