Thank you, gentlemen! It is really a stunning work of art! Holding it in hand creates an unforgettable feeling! The himotoshi are actually inside in a thick and enforced solid part of tusk masked under the leaf in the very middle under the frog and are invisible from outside, which also makes the piece quite strong and "wearable" (not that I think one would ever dare to ware it!:)). This was the best 30th marriage anniversary present I could've dreamed of!

Vlad- yes, superb ryusa- the combo of exquisite carving and perfectly captured animal characterizations is delicious! and congrats on 30th (had my 31st last week...)

A beautiful netsuke--I assume it is an anniversary piece, combingin you --the pig--with your wife---the rooster?  Well, I am at least right in that it is a beautiful netsuke!  congrats.

I don't think you are "boaring" at all,  Vlad, but I guess a boar does have a better ring to it than pig,-sorry about that---and I don't know how I missed the rat on your back.  That is really neat!  Did you ask that the rat be put on your back??
