Spell Check Installation: If your browser is Internet Explorer

Postby Oishii » Thu Apr 14, 2016 9:42 pm

The purpose of this tutorial is to provide information on how to use the spell check function to your advantage when using Internet Explorer.

To enable the spell check function in Internet Explorer, click on the "gear icon", in the top right corner of the window,
as shown here :
IE1.png

Then choose the "Manage Add-ons" option.

This will open a new window, in which there is a "spelling correction" tab.
You can select "Enable spelling correction" at the bottom of the window. The function can be disabled here as well, if you wish to do so.

When an error occurs while typing, the word will be underlined in red.
When you right-click the word, a list of suggestions will be shown to correct the word. You can either choose one of the suggestions or ignore them, for instance when typing a family name that is not in dictionaries.
A word can be added to your dictionary and IE will from then on accept it as correct.

In this drop-down list, you can adjust the language that you are using as well.
