Patagonia is certainly a beautiful and special region (visited last year, there is a lot of WOW) but while a "roving you a going" perhaps a visit to that special museum in New Zealand where Borat reigns. It is not far from Australia or Patagonia, just a little jump over some water.

Congrats on a great idea, Skype or some way for others to watch and participate would certainly make those of us on the outer world feel goooood

Nio - NZ great idea for a roving chapter!!! What say you JC and Jill? Gopi has no choice on the matter :P

Maybe a roving chapter should actually be based on time zone. For instance, Gopi, Piers and I are essentially all in the same zone. How about dividing the planet up into 6 time zone groups so that each individual group could share the experience during waking hours?

Dave, the Roving Chapter is for the North American Continent. It was JC's idea to "split the world and meet in Miami", that's how this all started with one idea!

The Northwest Chapter meets quarterly and the dates are posted on the website about 3 weeks in advance.  Anyone in or near Seattle on that date is always welcome at our no-host private lunch and program at a local Country Club.

Thank you, Eric. I've copied your invitation to the INS Chapters area in the Seattle Chapter Topic.
Most of our Chapters welcome guests if space is available. We hope all future meetings that are freely open will be posted in advance under their INS Chapter Topics.

Congratulations, Jill, on this beginning chapter, and also on pulling JC into the mix! It will be fun to meet in person, and to have the opportunity to share with others in attendance.  And what an honor to have Sachi Wagner, who is willing to share her knowledge and experience, and also her lovely gallery as the first meeting place.  I am really looking forward to attending!

Has everyone received their email invitation to the Roving Chapter meeting in Coconut Grove (Miami) Florida? I am very excited to meet collectors who post on the forum and also those who do not use the forum. I have had the opportunity to meet one collector (Judy) and I enjoyed talking netsuke and the well of information gleaned from our time together, albeit too short!
