Favourite Finds of 2017 - Xmas Party 2017

Postby souldeep » Thu Nov 30, 2017 5:35 pm

Synopsis

Inspired by Judy's Favourite Finds of 2017 - viewtopic.php?f=494805&t=8079833 - a few of the guys and girls wanted to get together to handle the favourites of 2017.

We've never had a netsuke Xmas party, so figured no better time time than the present to start a new tradition :)

We'll start at 12.30pm with a 3 course festive meal followed by a relaxed afternoon of drinks, handling and Christmas cheer.

Be @ the Eagle pub 12.30pm on Saturday 23rd December, located 250 Ladbroke Grove - http://www.theeagle.co.uk

The Xmas lunch is open to all, but due to the busy Xmas period must be booked in advanced.

The upstairs room (The drinks cupboard) has now been secured for the afternoon of the 23rd. Tables will be rearranged and the log fire lit;

What do you need to do to join the festive fun?

Please let me know if you'll be attending no later than the 6th December 2017.

If you have any dietary requirements please also let me know.

Don't forget to bring at least one item of festive clothing, a smile and your favourite find from 2017 to share with others :)

For those more hardcore - some of us will meet at 9am that morning to peruse the market. If you'd like to join just let us know and I'll forward meeting venue.

Why'd you have to go and show photos and menus from a nice cozy pub, to those of us living abroad?

I'll be there in spirit, or is it spirits?

I know what you mean Doug. I wish I could add a teleporter to the arrangements to bring us all together for the festive celebration, however we'd need a much bigger space too!

I'll take a shot especially raised to your good health for 2018 :)

My health is just fine. Raise it to my future carving abilities, please.

Martyn, that’s brilliant and almost as exciting as getting a Netsuke on Christmas Day!

Hopefully Claire and myself are already on the list but for the avoidance of doubt.......WE ARE COMING :)

Let me guess... You gonna get Claire to check out if she approves of the venue on this thread. Beats writing to santa :D

Sounds like a great outing and will hopefully stimulate other chapters to do great events.
