Sorry and thank you, David. I meant to say 'antique', but omitted in the hurry.

Everything seems to have gone quiet recently. Is this a sign of anything? :(

I can tell you that some fine pieces that are pretty well documented, in the U.S. prior to 1973, published, and likely recognized by many of you were denied CITES export certificates this year. The plan is to resubmit them with additional documentation and recognized appraiser in Asian arts letter.

Were these pieces elephant ivory or other materials requiring CITES?

They were ivory but possibly other material I don't know about.

That would be the do-gooders who feel good when they blab, blab on social media about taking away people's rights and tell all their friends to go to beach clean-up mother earth day but they sit at a bar having lemon drop martinis for the afternoon while you and I get sand in our crawls. (Yes, I just picked up litter blowing down the beach from a wedding party and half of the guests had big SUVs with "Baby on Board" stickers so we stay out of their way when they drive like maniacs into the parking lot fighting for the few empty spaces).
My next beach visit wil be on a weekday early morning to fly fish the surf in solitude for corbina.

Wow, and I thought California was Paradise! 8-)

Sounds like you carve out your own little paradise, Alan. (Corbina? It sounds Spanish.)
