Hi all. The last netsuke: a snail on leaves. Boxwood and oil.

Quite realistic! Do you carve constantly?
What is the oil for? Is that a normal snail shell?

Do you consider the opening created by the curled leaf to be the himotoshi or is it the stem?

I don't carve constantly, I have another job. I use linseed oil. It's not a real snail, just imagining it.
Yes, I carve the two leaves with the idea to make the himotoshi here. There is a little hole to do it.
