'Moving Snail' in 3D

Postby Leon » Wed Mar 15, 2017 9:47 pm

A while back I was wondering if 3d viewing would be interesting to add to my website or online presentation.
Well, Martyn sort it all out and all I need to say is "Thank You Martyn". It works.
I only had a set of mediocre quality phone photos, but it still gives one an idea of the carving.
Maybe, in time, I ask my sold carvings back for taking beter sets of photos.
For now I present my "Moving Snail" from 2011, with the help of Martyn: http://tinyurl.com/LeonsSnail

Leon - I was surprised you just contacted me out the blue, and with exactly what I needed to make your Snail 3D. And that was before I put up the tutorial.

And guys - Leon did this with a camera phone! Hat off to you sir

Lovely to look around your carving. What technique do you use inside the shell for that gold fleck effect?

PS JC - I see you used the new smiley

A phone camera and some photoshopping to be honest. And your information was enough and spot on.
The gold inside is just gold foil. Thanks all for the compliments.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have crossed an important line in image representation capabilities on this INS Forum, thanks to Martyn's hard work and brilliant innovation.
This changes everything . . . . we have a weekend ahead to experiment!

3D photo capabilities ~ who knew?
