Yes Laquer-Objects from Zeshin are something special. Sadly also somehow unaffordable. :cry:

Besides of the mantis and the imitated metal, i really like the round shapes of the powderhorn. What cheers me up an little, in a parallel universe, my other me is purchasing it.

in the documentation they show the different techniques and try to repodruce them. very interresting.
its a little too much "fanboy" for my taste but maybe japanese documentaries are made like that. i cant say.
