The fact that the head is turned to the right or to the left is not a problem ; It is an Okatomo piece if you look at the curve of the back, the way the hair between the horn. the eyes, the horns. Tomotada never did such back. __________________ alain.html |

Alain, it seems we're still not on the same page yet. So far everybody above absolute beginners level who ever looked at this Netsuke agreed that my ox is a very typical work of Okatomo, even if it's signed Tomotada. The only purpose of this thread was to establish parameters for Daisaku-mei. That's all. Your confirming the authenticity is appreciated, but quite frankly it's besides the point. |
