The fact that the head is turned to the right or to the left is not a problem ; It is an Okatomo piece if you look at the curve of the back, the way the hair between the horn. the eyes, the horns. Tomotada never did such back.

Alain, it seems we're still not on the same page yet. So far everybody above absolute beginners level who ever looked at this Netsuke agreed that my ox is a very typical work of Okatomo, even if it's signed Tomotada. The only purpose of this thread was to establish parameters for Daisaku-mei. That's all. Your confirming the authenticity is appreciated, but quite frankly it's besides the point.
